Photo-Safety Eye Sensors
Photo-eye devices that detect an obstruction across the gate opening and signal the operator — installed, aligned and wired as part of the automated system.
What It Is
A supporting device, not a standalone system
A photo eye is a paired sender and receiver mounted across the opening. When something breaks the beam, the compatible operator receives that signal. It supports an automated gate — it does not replace correct gate setup, maintenance or user awareness.

What We Look At
Placed, Aligned and Wired to the Operator
Detection only works when the device, the beam path and the operator input agree.
- 01
Beam placement
Sensors are positioned so the beam crosses the part of the opening a vehicle or person actually occupies.
- 02
Mounting & alignment
Posts, brackets and alignment are set so the pair stays in line after the gate is cycling every day.
- 03
Operator compatibility
The sensor has to be compatible with the operator's input so the gate responds when the beam is interrupted.
- 04
Part of the system
Photo eyes support the automated gate alongside loops, locking hardware and the controls at the entry.
